The pigment is characterized by exceptional heat stability up to 300 °C (and even up to 320 °C in polycarbonate) as well as excellent lightfastness of 7–8. It is suitable for use in a wide range of plastics, including PA6, PA6.6, PBT, PE/PP, PC, and ABS.

A key application of Pigment Orange 68 lies in the production of high-voltage components for electric vehicles. These systems operate at voltages of up to 400 V DC in the battery circuit and up to 1000 V AC in the motor circuit—levels that are considered life-threatening. For this reason, standards mandate a distinct signal color for insulators: orange. With our pigment, components can be colored to ensure that their signal effect remains reliable throughout the entire service life of the vehicle.

Beyond this, Chemikos Pigment Orange 68 impresses with its outstanding migration fastness. Even under elevated temperature and pressure, the color remains stable and shows no visible migration into adjacent materials. This property is particularly valuable in applications such as food packaging.
